In class, I have been reading about how Jesus christ's life and looking for examples, and looking for acts of courage. I then thirty minutes writing about all of it.

So the 39 lashes were initiated to bring the average man to the edge of death. Tradition permitted 39 lashes –- 40 to fulfill the law, less one to show mercy. Jesus was courageous because he felt fear and pain and made him feel afraid on the cross and then God sent an angel from up above

What happened in the story? he gets put on the cross and gets scared, afraid and he begged the one and only person he loved to make it stop but that did not stop him.
How Jesus showed courage
He was a brave man and he did it out of mercy and love he stepped into our places and
took our sins away and asked god the one he loved please take this cup of suffering away
from me.
In summary, he ended up passing anyway and he did not take the suffering away from
him before he died so he took all of our sins away from us and showed us all to be brave.
